A simple white porcelain gaiwan from Dehua, Fujian - an area with a long history of porcelain production.
The clean white finish keeps the focus on the tea, with a pale interior that makes it easy to see the colour and clarity of the liquor as it brews. Its wide bowl gives the leaves plenty of room to open, while the lid can be adjusted when pouring to hold them back.
At approximately 175ml, it's a versatile everyday gaiwan suited to white, green, oolong, red tea and pu-erh.
